Whether we’re walking your dog in the neighborhood friendly streets, on one of the beautiful paths, or playing in your backyard, we aim to give you dog plenty of exercise by focusing on your dogs only. No pack walks for us! Your pet will be cared for by a trained professional who is bonded, insured and dedicated to giving your pet exercise and companionship and love.
Here are a few of our favorite sites in the area for dog walking and exercising:
Rails to Trails – You can pick the trail up off of IronHorse Blvd. or among many stops along Hopmeadow Street
Paw Meadow Dog Park – Located at 22 Ironhorse Blvd. in Simsbury.
A park JUST FOR dogs! If your dog enjoys the company of others, this is the place to be! Here your pet can roam off-lease freely. Located right in the heart of Simsbury. There are several rules & regulations (for everyones safety of course) so please refer to their websitehttp://pawmeadowdogpark.org/ before planning your trip. Paw Meadow Dog Park is located at 22 Iron Horse Blvd. Simsbury, CT.
Talcott Mountain State Park/Heublein Tower – Located off of Rte 185 past Penwood Park in Simsbury.
There are several trails in the park, not just one. They are well marked and there are maps offered for free at the trailhead near the parking lot. This is a high traffic park, so don’t be surprised if you see many other dog lovers out for a stroll on a beautiful day. To get to any number of the trails follow Route 44 heading west until you hit the intersection of Route 218. Take a right on Rte 218 and follow north until you hit Route 185 in Simsbury. Take a left on Route 185
Trivia: did you know that the tower was the brainchild of Gilbert Heublein, a magnate in the area of food and beverage, most notably as manufacturer of A1 Steak Sauce andSmirnoff Vodka; he founded Heublein Inc.
